Briefly, our submission is to maintain and keep the existing use of the cafe building incorporating a vintage concept cafe. The proposed ground floor plan currently comprises an Entry, Seating, cafe, lounge, Kitchen, and office/store. The cafe building has been designed to sit for the most part within the existing building envelope and re-using the existing roof structure. All the existing material such as external cladding, ceilings, bricks, eaves gutter, roof and facial board will remained and the builder is to ensure the following materials are in good condition.
From the external building, the existing window will be removed and replaced to a new Bi fold window facing to the North. In addition, the design is to allow sufficient daylight into the entry, seating and cafe area through the new Bi fold glazed windows. Basically the interior layout will be divided into different zone. We have incorporate different use of the space such as; open public, semi private and private in order to cater for various function.
The material and colors chosen will be white/grey timber floor which are installed throughout the building and new tiles/vinyl material will be applied throughout the kitchen & office area. In addition, natural plywood materials will be incorporated for the front counter in order to create a warm and harmony color scheme. This will also produce a natural sense of space in the cafe. Moreover the Dulux paint finish 'Whisper white' colour will applied throughout the external existing wall, arch, and railing.
Our proposal for this building cafe operation hours will be from 8am to 4.30pm and the maximum no. of staff will be 4 to 5 person. Moreover the maximum number of customers that the cafe can cater is approximately 10 to 20 person. With the business and residential area and population increment, the proposed cafe will play a significant role to generate purposeful benefit to the public such as leisure, entertainment as well as a meeting point for business purposes.
